Edisto banks

Left edisto 6:30. Beautiful ride all the way to Edisto Banks. trolled till noon with nothing happening at all. Zig Zagging from 150 ft. to 190 ft picking up plenty of good bottom and marking plenty of bait on the bottom. Finally had knock down around 12:30…30ish wahoo. Troll for another hour and get another knock down on the wtfb. Another 30ish wahoo. Caught one more barracuda, then off to home. Beautiful calm day.

What baits on the (WTFB) awesome btw. I cant tell if you have one or two downriggers, but my question is what do you run on your DR and how deep? I have caught a lot of good wahoo on the white and blue rapala magnum… I had a boat get robbed and have one trolling rod. I am hoping to find a set of 4 and get a great deal. My boats similar to yours. When do you decide where to fish, as you leave the jetties? I like going to the banks because the ride is usually better homebound…Not much forethought other than that though., besides the obvious (wind, weather, waves) how do you decide where to go. Just one more ? How much fuel do you burn on a trip the banks plus 4 to 5 hours trolling?

You should spend the $100 and get a subscription to Hilton reports, terrafin or something along that lines. You should check the SST’s, currents, altimetry and chlorophyll and find areas that look good in most of those categories.
