We are doing a big family vacation in July on Edisto. I am unfamiliar with Edisto. Can someone tell me where the public landings are on/near Edisto?
Thanks

Public boat ramps on Edisto:
Edisto Marina, Big Bay Creek, 843-869-3504
Live Oak Landing, further up Big Bay Creek adjacent to State Park Interpretive Center, 843-869-4430. Other Edisto Beach State Park numbers (843-869-2156, 843-869-2756)
Steamboat Landing, approximately 6 miles from beach on Steamboat Landing Rd off of Hwy 174, (ramp on Steamboat Creek off of the North Edisto River)
Dahoo Landing (approximately 11 miles from beach on Hwy 174, beside McKinley Washington Bridge over intracoastal waterway)
5151 got it! Here’s a few details. The marina is a good ramp but difficult turnaround if you have a big boat. Sometimes you have to back it down the driveway with a hard turn just before the ramp. Live Oak is good mid to high tide. Be careful close to low. the concrete at the end is weird. Difficult when the current is rippin! Steamboat is a great ramp but limited parking. Dahoo is a great ramp with plenty of parking - good access to either South or North Edisto. Good Luck.

These guys are spot on. There are a couple important details left out: marina is $10 per put in/pull out and limited parking. Live oak is approx $5 per or $50 annual state park pass. Steamboat and Dawhoo are free public. There is also a small kayak only launch in Botany that goes to Oscella creek
Enjoy!

Thanks guys! Just what I was looking for.
Watch out for that Live Oak landing. The state park rangers will flat take all of your money. It cost me (family of 5) $25 to launch my boat. You also have to watch the tides; gets pretty hairy there when the tide turns. Use Edisto Marina; they are very friendly and helpful. I give the state too much money as it is to pay $25 to use the ramp.
Ditto for the ramp usage on low tide. Certain style trailers will hang up at the end of the ramp at low water. It’s always easier for me to just buy the annual parks pass for 50 bucks. If you fish a good bit, you can’t go wrong with that pass which is good throughout the state.
x2 on the marina, easiest place to put in/take out there. Live oak ramp is odd, and the current rips!!
I always put in at Live Oak Landing because its a short run to front beach and super close to some good inshore spots (Scott Creek).
