doughboy released a blue. bentlys best I think caught a white and then some others caught sails.

why is it that i read forums on this website about people catching billfish but come tournament time there are none to be seen??? bad luck possibly

Hoyz Boys Won with a big blue tagged, Doughboy also got a blue but Hoyz Boys caught theres first so that put them in first place (bc both boats had 600 points). there was also a white and a sail caught. the wahoo was caught by blessed adventure and was 82.6lbs. The “tuna” was a 15.2lb bonita i believe weighed in by Trashman. The only fishing day was friday the other two were called off due to small craft advisory. I believe the biggest dolphin was 32lbs and the lady angler and junior angler category was won by whatever boat caught the sail. Didnt seem like much of a tournement with only one day fished but thats how it goes i guess
that was a trophy false blackfish that hollywood slapped on the dock. i think he is going to have it sculpted and hung over the transom to honor the boat’s new name.
mid, i tend to disagree. 5 billfish for 27 boats fishing 1 day is pretty decent fishing around here. remember we are not in isla. 1 for every 5 fishing days. that seems about right for this time of year in my book.

06 was an anomally. we had an epic bite the back half of the season. 99 was the best fishing that i have ever seen for billfish and for tunas.
btw, the number of boats participating is the total number of different boats. most boats fished multiple tournaments, so the billfish per boat per fishing day is MUCH lower than these stats represent.
