So with the deluge of rain seen across our coastline the past few days and the minor inland flooding, what effects will it have on inshore fishing? I know a significant drop in salinity will occur. Just curious as to how long it will last, what species effected, is it less of a problem in the sounds and harbor?
Just came to the site to ask the same question. I know obviously fresh water run off will drop salinity in the smaller creeks way up the rivers, and then the other effects of freshwater runoff will affect water clarity. question is, how quick will things clear up? Which species does low salinity affect the most?
