Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on these.
Perhaps the sinker slide is more prone to snags?? Nice being able to easily remove the weight while underway to prevent the banging around is a nice option.
I’ve become a fan of trolling weights. The kind that have rings on both to tie your main line to weight then weight to leader, eliminating the need for a bead and swivel

Thanks Hunter but I am talking about bottom fishing where I need the main line to be free to slide freely through the egg or sinker slide to detect a bite.
Glenn. I pretty sure yak was suggesting those for bottom fishing as well. I prefer egg sinkers as I find they helicopter less on the way down if your trying to get down fast. But yak make a good point for deeper water.
I prefer egg sinkers partly because I cast my own, but I HATE how they slide up and down your line when you cast. If you peg them with a toothpick, then you lose the function of the free-sliding bait pickup. I consider this a moot point usually, and peg them anyway, because when I’m using an egg sinker, I’m fishing for stuff that typically hooks itself on the circle hooks (eater-sized bonnetheads, catfish, redfish, etc)
Moral judgment under girds the entire structure of laws and is necessary for the rational structure of any significant statute. The idea that our laws can stand independent of moral foundation is senseless.----- Albert Mohler.
