We drove in Monday night from the upstate and had a great time at the marina. Tuesday morning we launched from Shem Creek and moved back into some creeks. We wanted to fish a dock we knew about in the back of a creek. When we got there we found a half dozen college age kids fishing and smoking some dope.
We followed good etiquette and stayed a reasonable distance away. They were pulling trout and reds out left and right. I never saw anybody measure anything but they all went in the cooler. All of a sudden, the bite got red hot. We doubled up on a slot red and a hamburger flounder. Another slot red was hooked immediately and then another small flounder. We immediately hooked another red but it broke me off in the oysters. The bite died as fast as it started. Beautiful day on the water. No chaos of the election, just gorgeous weather and time to enjoy the beauty of our state.Oh…yeah, we struggled with finding bait so all of these fish were caught on mud minnows that were guaranteed by Haddrells. They were guaranteed to catch fish or die trying.

really glad this post wasn’t a pointless political discussion. Thank god. Sounds like a good time, I’d have asked for a toke.
No matter how many variables I have control over, I never expect a bite. I only hope.
