I had a low end electric winch for my 19’ homemade on a break open trailer. It was a lifesaver. I forget the make and model but it cost somewhere around $120 so it wasn’t a real powerhouse,but it worked for me. Unless I have a float on trailer I would spend the extra for a power winch.

Well Capt Cracker I guess that shows where my mind is! By the way what is the derivation of “Cracker”. I grew up with the Atlanta Crackers but never knew what the term really meant.
That’s funny. It’s an old nick name but I reckon I’m technically a shrimp boat cracker, not to be confused with the blue bloods of Charleston and Savannah:smiley: (no offense meant to the blue-bloods, I just ain’t one)
