The switch for my nav/anchor lights has been busted for some time now. I finally bought a new one, and before I removed the old one I marked all the wires so I didn’t mix them up when putting the new switch in (it’s a 6 prong, on-off-on rocker switch). Before messing with anything I checked all my other equipment wired to the console (bilge, aerator, depth finder). Everything was working fine. So I changed the switch, plugged in the anchor lights and turned them on. Seemed to be working fine, BUT the pole seemed very loose in the socket. Loose enough to fall out if the boat was moving and hit a wake. So I wiggled the lights a little bit to make sure I had them in all the way, and they stopped working. Flipped the switch a couple times, and nothing. Then realized none of the equipment on the console was working. I assume I blew a fuse but can’t seem to find it. All the fuses I pulled look in tact and normal. My thinking is that with someone more experienced with electrical issues this would be a 5 minute fix, but I can’t figure it out and hate to take it to a shop and get charged an excessive amount for what I’m thinking must be a hidden fuse or something else minor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
For reference, my boat is a '91 tracker tournament v. My electronics are powered by two deep cycle batteries, wired together. I can access the wiring at the batteries, and directly under the console, but the rest of the wires are fed through the boat and are inaccessible with pulling out rivets and removing the back deck.
