Electronics Install?

Who is the best in this area? I need someone to install a Simrad multi-function unit, through-hull transducer and radar dome. Whom would you not use?

FYI, I have used the guy at Murrell’s Inlet and was pleased, except it is just too far.

I’d not be replacing my stuff except someone needed it more than me. They hit at least 6 boats at my storage place this week.

We can do it. I can provide references. Just finished up a 2018 Everglades 253. 16" simrad, 36 volt ulterra with optima blue tops, nmea 2000, auto piolet, vhf, 4k radar, power pole, remote spotlight, etc. Can provide pictures well.

Located off remount rd in North Charleston .

I recommend Jeff Collier at Coastal Marine Electronics or Jeff Seacreast at Tidewater Marine Electronics

Mission, sorry to hear about your loss, that’s something we think about when we add anything to our boat. Ours is stored in a neighborhood storage lot. We figure out of sight out of mind and can’t be stolen. We added a 12” humminbird recently and made it removable, we can put it and take it out in less than a minute. Same with an older lowrance, trolling motor and minnkota talon unit.

Out of curiosity did they cut wires and rip it out or did they remove it more gently?

Second on Jeff Sechrest at Tidal Marine Electronics. Best in the business but I recall him always having a long waiting list. Jeff Collier is also good!

O-Sea-D Boatworks, they are Simrad Factory approved installer. I believe if you use a factory approved you get an extra year on your warranty. Call Jodi at 843-729-5108, they did a great job on my Evo3

Thanks for the suggestions. Had a very good meeting with Phillip at Tidal today.

To answer the question about the theft, wires and even mounting screws were cut. My guess is they operate fast. Someone speculated they might come out of Florida? But the storage place must beef up security or I’ll have to move.

Glad to have at least two authorized Simrad options, Tidal and O-Sea-D. I will ask whether Coastal is also, and then plan to use one of them. As indicated, that should add to warranty, and facilitate any trouble-shooting.

I’m pretty sure Coastal is an authorized installer on most brands
