It is on a 2001 70hp yamaha 2 stroke. Is it really needed? I broke a tooth off of it pulling it off the middle carb. I assume they plunge down so as long as the other two teeth are there, it will work. Is this right?
the problem will be the motor will run rich at idle once it warms up.
not sure if it will move with the broken tooth, my gues would be no

a new is about $150
if its broke open, its gonna foul plugs at idle speeds
if its broke closed, its gonna be hard to start cold
