Ended up with the last 2.5 hours of dayligth free yesterday so I took my neighbor for a quick recon trip while the tide is still so low from new moon.
Got out at dead low, first 30min was slow then as soon as the water started moving again it was hot for the last 1.5 before dusk. 12 or so Reds, 3 Nice trout and a rando Black drum.
Was good to find a couple new areas all in sight of landing.
Been catching all the bigger trout on the bottom third of the water column if thats useful to anyone else.
Told my neighbor that sense we were trying to outfish the sunset there would be no time wasted on photos unless there was a real story to tell.
