At low rpms my motor was making some rattling type noises and when
I put it into neutral it would rev up more than normal and then settle back down? Any ideas?

Make sure it is not a bearing rattling. Get it checked before you run it any more.

It would run fine when I threw the gas to it and let it eat. It wassonly at idle speeds and when in neutral it had its issues
