The second annual SSWA EOY Oyster Roast and Charity Raffle & Auction is Friday, Nov. 16th at 7:00 PM, Miler Country Club in Summerville. This is open to the public. Cost to members is $10, non-members $20. You will NOT be disappointed!

Many items will be available through the raffle, and the auction will include four 1/2 day guided trips donated with the kindness of Mike Waller, Doug Connelley, Amy Little & David Lane. There will also be numerous other valuable items auctioned, including 2 Ralph Phillips trout special rods valued at $350 each!

This year a FULL DAY guide trip with Ralph Phillips and another local fishing professional will be auctioned. THAT will be a fishing seminar on the sea, I assure you!

Last year Megan’s efforts raised over $1,300 which helped provide Christmas for over 100 needy children who wouldn’t have gotten Christmas without us, and who probably never had a Christmas before. This year she is shooting for $2,000! Not bad for a 13 year old!:smiley:

UPDATE!!</font id=“size2”> The board met this week and we decided rather than try to auction this trip (which is an $800 - $1000 value with one guide, much less TWO!) we will do a “Card Draw” for the trip.

Here’s how it works!
We will have a deck of cards that you can purchase one card for $10. That card will be cut in half, one half for you, one half for a drawing. Once the cards are sold we will pull them out as the night goes on, AGONIZINGLY, one by one until there is only one left. The last card remaining will be the winner!

Imagine being one of the last 2 or 3 cards remaining, knowing you can win a guide trip of a lifetime for $10!! :imp:Aaaarrgghhhhhh!!!:imp:
