I have been tying a ton of ep baitfish lately. Some with tails some without. Anyway they allways look great but want to swim sideways or somthin. The only way i have gotten them to swim vertical is wrap a little lead wire around the shank. This work but it sinks faster and makes it harder to tie. How do you guys solve this problem?
A pic would help, but my guess is you are tying with too much material. Less is more with EP fibers.
that was my first guess, I tied with about 20 strands at a time max
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

My first guess too. With each hank you tie in, try with 1/2 as much. Also, remember to “taper” each hank before tying it in by pulling a few strands from each end out longer.
