EPIC bass trip

We had it all planned out to fish Bushy park when we got invited to go to a private lake. Sounded fun so we went. Drove out to the middle of just about no-where and drove up on a beautiful private lake. As we were unloading kayaks, one of my buddies flipped over the jon boat and there was a pretty good sized cottonmouth under it… he danced off in one direction and the snake went the other so we got to fishin… after we all laughed at him for a little bit :smiley: paddled out and threw a small green gurgler I tied up. First cast… strip… strip…BANG fish on!!! Nice little bass… I was amazed at the beauty of the small lake and how quiet and peaceful it was… just about every cast landed a fish. Most were small, about 10-12 inches and might have been pushin a pound, the bream were GIANTS and my biggest of the day was around 2lbs. The other fellers all nabbed 3+ pound bass here and there but it was an epic night of fishing… Topwater was on fire, they literally destroyed the gurgler I tied up… ate the tail and legs I tied up on it, ripped out the hackle underneath and shredded the foam… I lost count on how many fish I caught… we all did after about 10 minutes. I think between the 4 of us it had to be well into the triple digits… Good time, great friends and INSANE fishin… This place is one of the best kept secrets of our area and to tell ya the truth I doubt very seriously if I could find it again, but I truly appreciate the invite and the great times!!! Sorry no pix from my end, but I wanted to share that the topwater bite seems to be turning on and the gurgler is destroying fish again
