Epic.......Beatdown

Seeing as that my staycation was almost over and I had yet to get offshore. Decided to roll the dice today and hope the weatherman was wrong. He was spot on. IT sucked. Rolled out of the Stono 30 minutes after the tide turned and creeped out to 135’ at anywhere from 22-25 mph. You could run faster at points til you hit that 5 footer with no backside so it was easier to just plow through it. Deployed the lazy, its rough , I’m over it spread which consisted of two swimming baits(Braid/Rapala), a green machine on the Way back, and blue /white ilander and mini green jet head on the long rigger. Caught a 8-10 lb blackfin and a 30 lbs Wahoo, both on the Green Machine and that was it. Only fished for 2.5 hrs and headed in. Came back through N Edisto to another WAC show. Fish were caught just inside of Edisto Banks. Someone a few miles further out said there was a good dolphin bite on the ledge. (3 Fish over 40#) Water Temp was between 77-79 all day. Flyers started in about 65’ of water and were steady all the way out. A few scattered weeds, but nothing to get excited about. Saw 3 other boats all day and two were Kingfishing. Wahoo was mighty tasty for dinner.

thanks for report
