Guess what? I found ethanol free gas. Seewee Outpost on Hwy 17N. They have it in a premium grade only. It is going to be a bit more expensive due to the trucking charges, it has to come from N Augusta. I have been going to Folly Beach but what a hike. Their number is 843 928 3493
Good to know as I occasionally hit Bulls Bay and go right past Seewee Outpost.
Thanks
is that stuff that bad?
It sure ain’t good. Look at the problems folks have had with boat motors since they started adding ethanol to gas. Ask those that service them how many fuel related problems people had before ethanol.

I have been running ethanol for the last two years, or however long its been at BP and Texaco. I have never had a problem or hicup with twin 200 HPDI’s and a 230 gal tank. Even sitting all winter. I run ring free on ever fill up and change the Racors once a year. The boat gets used almost every weekend.
I think some of you guys are a little paranoid about ethanol…

You have been lucky. I have been taken down 3 times on 2 different boats b/c of ethanol. I use to change my filters twice a year, now 3 times a year, and I ran the engines constantly plus used Stabil. Did all that and had two diff. boats go down three times.
I now do not run ethanol and everything runs great. I have to run a little farther to fill up now, but it is worth it.
