Had to put my 08 150 Mrecury Verado in the shop over the weekend for what I believe is an ethenol related problem. This is my first experience dealing with ethenol.Does anyone have any advice on how to protect your motor from the effects of ethenol? Thanks

That is how I have been getting on the water so much lately. I just tell my wife that I have to run it in order for it to keep running well. Don’t think she believes me but she lets me go!

What does ethanol do to a bot engine??? I’m not being a smart ass I just don’t know. Doesnt all fuel have ethanol in it?

I know that it’s a pain in the you know what! But if you folks don’t run your boats enough, the best alternative is to avoid Ethanol all together!! And yes you can, if you give it a try.
