I went to Sea Eagle today and saw the kingkilp, didn’t buy it but it looked nice. Let us know how it turned out.

It was great. Let it come to room temp the brushed it with some melted compound butter. Dusted lightly with flour and a quick sear in olive oil, the in oven to finish.

Looks like there is a version caught in the Gulf also. It is actually “Bearded Brotula” Whatever that is. Guess I need to get some and try it!
It looks like it is related to Cod and Haddock so I’m sure it is tasty. The fillets look almost identical.
