(**(), getting schooled on BBQ sauce by a Yankee. That hurt Dave. That should be worth a free jighead or a crying towel.

What’s up Opti? I will chime in also. Yes, they catch more fish. BUT the only time I won’t use them is when fishing and scouting rocky outcrops or oysters as I like the way the cheap ones bend with enough pressure as I can straighten them out. Just my 2 cents, literally. If I put 6 trout eyes on 6 rods I would go broke. I would love to see some trout eye bucktails as I have been productively jigging the deeper water lately

What’s your biggest size? I like heavier baits to give me range when I need it. I can never find the size I want.
They do a (**() good job of holding a Zman, which is made out of a fantastically strong material. I cant stand it when I melt a pack tho

was looking at your bucktails. Nice. Throwing this out there. I used to get a white with One red feather in the middle and just slightly longer than the white. Had more luck with that for stripers, largemouth, and spot tail. Found that at the store in the fork just above M.C. where 52 and 17 split. That was a long time ago and I’ve never seen them since.
“Why Bruce?”
I used Optiker’s jig heads with the big red eye this past weekend. Although we didn’t catch as many trout as I had hoped, we caught enough to give these jig heads a good test. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised at how well they held the plastic. If the screw lock jig head holds plastic any better, I couldn’t tell the difference…and I really like quality hook and the eye. Another benefit is the speed of changing plastics. When the fish are really biting time is important, even if it’s seconds. Seconds seem like minutes, and I can change plastics quicker when I don’t have to screw the plastic up onto the jig head. If I were a fish, I’d bite the eye. I’m ordering a few more of Optiker’s jig heads today.

Dave,
Thanks for the flowers re: Hog Wash. I just ordered 50 more jig heads, but couldn’t figure out how to mix the eye colors. If possible, give me an assortment of yellow and red. Thanks!
