Ez go golf cart problem

Rebuilt carb,runs great but as soon as you go 50 feet it cuts off.Cranks back up fine.New elec fuel pump.Runs 50 or so feet and cuts off??? Any ideas.

check the oil level for starters. It may have a low oil shut off.

My kids recently ran my ezgo out of gas. It ended up pulling a piece of junk into the main jet passage. Pulling the bowl off and cleaning it did not do the trick. I had to pull the carb off and use a piece of wire to dislodge the debris.

When it was plugged up, it would act like you stated but it would continue to idle and work under extremely light throttle.

if it has a low oil shut off, check the oil first, if ok, then find the switch and bypass it just to see if thats the issue, sometimes the switch will short out.

Guess i will just buy a new kawasaki 2.5 or 3hp motor and stick it in the cart.Cranks up fine nut still u ride 30-50 feet and it dies.Cranks right back up.???

Looks like it is a clutch problem.Found the right man to fix it.He will pick it up this week.Turns out he is in my club LOL
