This is interesting…port motor idles at 1100 or more and when you turn the key off it will run 15 to 30 seconds after key is turned off,the kill switch kills it immediately…
Starboard motor is fine…
Any ideas?
Also can anyone reccomend a mobile yamaha guy?
high idle seems fixed…cleaned the throttle body and fixed an o-ring that seemed pinched…
still runs 10-30 secs after key is turned off…
Sounds like it is still idling too high then.

swap key switch plugs under dash
try it again
is it a switch issue or a motor issue?
that motor should idle at 750rpms
if it idles at 900, that’s the default mode when there is a sensor failure
my guess is a bad keyswitch

Chris,i had 2 issues the idle was at 1100 to 1400 ,believe we fixed it,the TB was sticking, cleaned it and all seems fine now…not gonna lie we swapped a couple sensors from the other motor with no change thats when i started digging deeper…it is nice having 2 motors sometimes.
The key issue is still not fixed, will try the swapping when i get back down there, ran out of time and energy yesterday to try that…i am getting old and tired…
Thanks
UPDATE!
Just in case anyone else ever has this issue…a new key switch fixed the running issue after key was turned off…
