Water pressure fell yesterday while running to the ramp. Hoping its the gauge or line gonna blow it out tonight.
Whats the minimum and recommended water pressure on an F150?

Not sure about the spec pressure, but check for any obvious leaks and the radiator cap may need changing. Be sure it is COOL b4 taking anything loose…
changes from idle to high rpms
idle is gonna be around 1-2 psi
high rpm is gonna be around 8-10

Thanks Chris. So by your count, between 0-12 is “normal” from idle to WOT and I actually do not have a problem?
Was my prior +20psi readings at WOT possibly not accurate then? YOu seen most running this high or no?
at idle you should be 1-2
most boats do not have a pressure gauge
at WOT 20+ seems a little high, but nothing to worry about

Thanks I just realized I did not say what concerned me or give any background.
My gauge has been reading 20+psi at 4500rpms-WOT since I had it installed a year or two ago. It is always well over 10 once on plane.
I just looked down yesterday while running back to the ramp at about 3700rpms and noticed it was showing only about 8 or 9. When I ran it on up to 4500 rpms it went over 10 but not up toward 20 as it used to.
So my concern was this drop in psi was a potential problem. Though I find it hard to believe the actual water pressure in the engine fell 50% yesterday. I have never had a problem with sudden dropping water pressue in my motors (with no changes in props, motor height etc.) I of course have had no water pressure or very very low readings when you clearly injest some mud after knowlingly run it too shallow. But then you can usually tell because it won’t “pee” either.
Yesterday all seemed normal, except the guage was showing below 10 when running on plane which is much less than “normal” of 15-20 on my guage.
I am hoping its somthing in the line or gauge. Water impeller was replaced earlier this year.
