Time to repower. My current 200 hpdi is done. Locked up. Looking for the pros and cons of the F225 3.3l vs. 4.2l. The 4 cylinder 200 does not look like a good option to replace the 200 hpdi. Haven’t ruled out a new motor but would be hard to turn down used for the right motor.
Boat is a 21’ Wellcraft CC. It’s a heavy 21’. I’d like to keep the same mechanical rigging but don’t think I can on the new 4.2l. ???
The 3.3 motor is no longer available in the current product line.
so, that leaves the 4.2 v-6 or the 2.8 inline 4
unfortunately none of those motors are available until February.
used, the 3.3 can easily get several thousand hours, just have to be concerned with the exhaust plate corroding out.

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING
You can borrow my big glassmaster with the tower of power on the back until you get your new motor.
Sman, I don’t know if I can handle that high tech piece of equipment. I never could get used to the Humminbird Super Sixty flasher.
Being superstitious is bad luck.
