2002 Yamaha F225. I changed both thermostats and the water pump, have good water flow but still get a temperature alarm are low speed. I will not get an alarm at higher speeds. What else can I check.

Tech manual maybe a faulty sensor
Had same problem,
1 took apart each cooling hose connection from pee hole back, shoved weed wacker line thru each hose.
2. Took out zincs wired brushed, while they were out flushed cooling cavities.
3. Flush with bleach, then with backing sod
4. After fishing I flush engine while I am unloading the boat 1-1/2 hours.
No problems since

CAN IT BE OTHER STUFF, SURE, BUT BASED ON YEAR OF MOTOR AND SYMPTOM, there is high probability its exhaust corrosion
