Ok, looking for some help. One of my motors is loosing prime when I idle. As long as I am running hard, its fine. As soon as I set the boat down, and let it idle for a couple minutes it won’t take fuel and the bubble is flat. Pump bubble back up and she is good to go until I let her idle again. Only happens on my starboard motor. Any thoughts??
Thanks
My first guess would be fuel tank vent - you should have twin tanks on that thing right?
Easy way to diagnose the vent is to recreate the scenario but remove the fuel cap. If it still happens it’s not the vent.

No sir. Single 285 gallon tank. Thanks though.

sounds like a classic example of a failing lift pump, or a sticking anti-siphon valve.

Chris, Where would this anti siphon valve be located?

Does sound like the anti-siphon valve. The ball inside will stick.
It should be at the gas tank where the fuel line comes out to go to the motor.
Was having to constantly pump bubble on one of my Yamaha f225 motors 2 years ago. Mechanic said high pressure fuel pump. Told me to get one for a Honda civic to get me by. Now same problem is happening again. Going to order right one from ebasic to see if it fixes it.

If the primer bubble is going flat & staying flat then it sounds like the A-S valve.
Valve is sticking then motor is pulling all the fuel out the lines & creating a vacuum collapsing the bubble. Once it sits a while or the valve un-sticks the bubble pops back up.
Valve is cheap & typically not too bad to get to.
Thanks. Gonna take a look at A-S valve 1st.
