Found a decent deal on a 90 carberated Yamaha 4 stroke. 2002 motor. Would it be worth the $ to upgrade from my Yamaha 90 2 stroke 2 years older that has no issues? Quieter I assume?

The carbs on that outboard have very intricate. they are more complicated than they need to be and this causes a lot of running issues. It is a sound outboard other than the common carburator issues. also if you do your own maintenance you will need to invest in a vaccum mate or a vaccum gauge set to perform the sync & link. I think you will be a lot happier with your two stroke 90.
i would have to ask, why you would consider upgrading?
if what you have is working for you, and you are only getting a 2 year newer motor, then why???
shain is exactly accurate
Fuel consumption and quieter ride I am would think? Not unhappy with the current motor, and was nowhere close to pulling the trigger. Just curious more or less on the EFI vs. carb. 4 stroke. Should have asked a little more specific. Shain hastened my decision on the motor in question.
Thanks gentlemen.

another thought would be the added weight of a 4 stroke. When I was looking at them a few years back I think the differnce was clase to 100 lbs…
