Is the fall mullet run uner way in Mid October around Folly Beach and can fish be caught from the surf?
The main push of mullet usually occurs mid September. You will see sharks and tarpon busting them within casting distance of the beach.

It probably varies a little year to year. Last year it was on by Labor Day weekend and pretty much over by mid Oct.

Do you normally fish the mullet run for mullet or for all the fishing feeding on them ? if for mullet , how do you catch them ? It would be nice to fill up the freezer with some bait.

How does that work with sheepshead? Does it make it easier to detect the bite ?

Now that’s funny
Do you have a special jig you bend that on or is it all “hand-crafted”? Does it come in other colors?

Saltfisher hand ties them, no jig that I know of…I guess he could do some of the vinyl coated ones or possibly the ones that are ribbed (for her pleasure)…
