Between the replies on here and talking to a few friends that don’t get on this site, it looks like there is plenty of interest and we should have a good turnout.

The date will be Saturday, Nov 3.

Take off from anywhere on the lake and lines in the water at 7:45 AM.

Weigh in will be at the SCE&G boat ramp at Hilton at 12:30 PM.

Everyone can weigh in one fish. Biggest fish pays 70%. Second pays 30%.

Leave your bait tanks at home. Artificials only!

Send me a PM for the address to send the $5/person entry fee . There is no entry fee for kids under 16, but let me know if you have any kids fishing. If we are going to have some kids fishing I’ll make sure we have some prizes for a kids division.

I think that covers it, but let me know if I forgot anything.

Just bumping this up to the top again as a reminder this is coming up this Saturday. Please let me know if you plan on fishing and I’ll get my address to you.

The long range forecast is looking good with the winds dying off and a warming trend for the later part of the week. It will be chilly in the morning for sure, but warming up nicely as the day goes on.

The fishing will be a bit of an unknown with this front coming through and the possibilty of the lake turning over, but it looks like it will be a beautiful day to be on the lake.

Tim send me a pm on what time you want to meet up and what I’ll need to bring thanks.

At least it’s not going to be in the 30’s Sat. morning. I was ready to break out the artic gear. Did I mention that I HATE</font id=“red”> cold weather? I’d be happy if it was 95 degrees all year long.

See ya’ll Saturday!

Should be a good time, hope the lake decides to turn over on Sunday the 4th and not before. See everybody Saturday!

Lake turned over this weekend. Hopefully the 20-30 mph winds and gusts to 40 will speed up the oxygenation of the water and settle them down.

I got things cleared up for Saturday. Count me in!

War Eagle 754 Ducks Unlimited - Yamaha 75

Got you down crabjack.

Fishing was tough today for me and I only got 1 fish…and it wasn’t even a keeper. The wind made it tough to fish, but I really wasn’t marking alot of fish anyway…never could seem to find them. Saw quite a bit of bait around 40-50 ft and some fish, but no real good concentrations. Covered alot of water and probably saw the most signs of life around the Big Gap where I got my only fish. Never saw any schooling at all.

Tomorrow’s looking to be a beautiful day with lighter winds…hoping they cooperate better tomorrow.

Good luckj to everyone and see you at Hilton at 12:30.

Tough day on the pond today…

Thanks Tim for putting this together. Lookin forward to the next one(at least the turnover will be behind us)

Good time

Same here. Thanks Tim. It was good to put faces to the names here. I’d do it again(hopefully the fish will be more cooperative.

Since everyone had just as tough of a time as we did, I’ve decided to give Murrymaker another chance to put me on some of the fish he’s always catching. Thanks for the tour of the lake, Chip.

Was a great time even though the fishing was pretty tough, hope to do it again soon. Thanks Tim for putting it all together.

Well what was the big fish!!

Well, we said it was gonna be some tough fishing…sure would have been nice to be wrong though.

Still a beautiful day to be on the water and good to see everyona at the weigh in.

Congratz to Jorge for his first place fish and to Woody for finishing up second. Please spend your winnings wisely. I would hate to see you guys on one of those programs where they show people that have come into a windfall and blow it and wind up broke.
