I have been kind of tripping in my shoes but just a little . I thought it was a little strange however I just turned 72. Still dont think that has anything to do with it .
Well last night I must have fallen about 5-7 times .Being out of shape( wt 220 5/6) it was really hard to get up .1st time was in my bedroom . I would get close to getting up then my strenght would give out. I fell in the bathroom and then in the kitchen . My wife has a bad back so she couldnt help me much .My wife thinks the VA is giving me to many pills so she took them . Ask how I was feeling I said fine
No I havent gone back to the VA .
Wow, this is very important stuff. I am an ER nurse (my day job) and we encounter this frequently. Great first aid intervention for your wife to hold your medications. This should only be for the short term however. As we age we don’t metabolize our medications as quickly. This could be your problem. This is not something to work out at home. You need to go in to your VAMC doctors and let them check you over. In the mean time fall precaution is a priority. Do you have steps in your home? Be very careful around stairs (use your handrails). I recommend picking up a cane from Walgreens. They have some pretty cool looking canes right in the store. To re-cap: wife did good, PREVENT FALLS, follow up with the VAMC as soon as you can!!!
Good luck and report back to us.
Could be a combination of meds or other issues. Holding meds can be a good thing…but could be bad too…you need to also be careful a s some medications have to be tapered off of or you face other issues. Questions…do you have issues with your BP, glucose or heart conditions…ears bother you? Vertigo? Headaches? Shortness of breath…copd? I would really go back to the v.a. Or some dr and tell them what is happening. Don’t just ignore this as it could be a warning signal screaming at you.
If you don’t want to go to the v.a. Go see capnsandbar at HEALTH FIRST on savannah hwy. whatever you do…please take care of yourself and take this seriously. One other suggestion…as dorado said a cane can be helpful in getting up…ESP the ones that now have the four little legs on them…but also…and don’t scoff or laugh at me…one of the folding walkers come in handy too as they are more stable and you can grasp lower then higher on it…ESP if you have them against a wall or large piece of furniture… You can often get these at thrift stores for under .10.00 …and if you want me too I will go look for one for you at out goodwill. Remember…don’t try to get up without some kind of support for yourself…crawl to a nearby chair or bed…even if it takes a while…you sure don’t want to fall back down getting up. If there’s anything I can do please let me know…

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>You fell five to seven times in ONE night. Go to a doctor!!!
This is a fishing site. You are sick as sh/t. Suck up your pride and think about the people that care about you, not people like me that post meaningless platitudes about ‘fush’in’.
Last time I fell 7 times in a few hours was when I was 8 months old.
