Falling Tide Skunk

Was able to get out on the SUP Sunday for some afternoon fishing.

Fished in 2-4ft of water on a falling tide from 3:45-6pm with low tide being at 7pm. Was throwing live mud minnows on a Carolina rig under some docks and also working a bad shad lure on 1/4oz red jig head around some oyster bars.

Ended up not catching anything except a few oyster clusters. Anyone have some inputs on how to increase my odds? Thinking I was too early in the tide.

Picture of my SUP setup attached…comments/criticism welcomed!

Nice looking rig there sup and welcome to cf.My only advice would be to go a little further towards bigger water.

I’m the wrong guy to hand out tips or advice – still … welcome!

You have the right idea. Maybe focus on strategic docks: old ones, on outside creek bends, feeder creeks emptying into a dock, docks with drop offs on points. All docks are not created equal. All this applies to oyster beds too. Tight lines!
