Family Day Redfish (Georgia Report)

This weeknd the goal was to hunt for some new spots for redfish. I was able to find a few small schools of big reds. I just put the trolling motor down until I found them destroying mullet and shrimp on the surface. I used all kinds of lures but to be honest if you find them feeding like that they will eat anything. My most productive bait has been a Zman paddlerz loaded with procure and a Zman trigger hook. I also caught some on a spook jr/skitter walk and I also tried out the new DOA airhead bait and had 3 hook ups on that but couldn’t get any to the boat. I fishing for trout towards the top of the tides the few days I went out with doa freelined and on a popping cork but I just couldn’t seem to find them. The water where I was looked mighty fresh almost like river water. I had a charter Monday where I used live shrimp and it was the first time I did that in a while but he wanted to keep a mess of fish for the family. We easily caught 100 fish and 9 different species most were mangrove snapper and rat reds. Im not sure what all the mangrove snapper are doing up here so thick but im not complaining. I talked to him today and he said they were the best tasting bream he ever ate.
Here are a few I caught when I was out with the family saturday and sunday.
