Finally got to fish today. Spent all day yesterday, with a simple project that turned into an all day affair. Anyway, fshed our favorite dock for a couple hours and ended up with 10 reds, 1 20" trout that will be part of dinner tonight, and some other fish that I called a lizard fish. It was smaller than the mullet, so I am not sure how it made it on the hook. All fish caught on free lined finger mullet.

Thanks! Hate those projects that take up the whole day. Had a leaking toilet, so decided to get a new one, which turned into ripping out old baseboards and quarter round, and installing new, then changing out all the check valves. The worst part was that my wife said we were going fishing saturday morning!
Anyway, the kids had a blast as always. Found a new trick to keep them occupied! They loved filling up gallon bags with water and using mullet as pet fish. Felt a little sorry for the mullet but that was better than a hook through the head!
That dock is awesome. I have to get up early and beat those boys to it. My wife wont come back in without wetting a line at that dock.

Great stuff as always, Seawest and crew! And yep, those are lizard fish. Like a cigar with teeth? LOL! After about the third one I move!
May want to crop photos a little bit since it is “our favorite dock”. May become everyone’s favorite dock and would hate to see the kids disappointed one day when “their” dock is busy! Just a thought.
That was the first one I have ever caught. Still cant believe it made it on the hook, I am usually very careful about pictures, but as you know that dock is not a secret! But i took down all the increminating photos just in case!
