Between getting the yard in order, the new pool liner done, boat search and work Ive been a bad wife and havent cooked much in a couple of weeks…well…nothing that took more than a few minutes to slam together anyway. Had a old neighbor ,his wife and children(3) over last night, Capttang and stan(nearshore) for a slammed together dinner…

chicken and smoked sausage pileau

Red rice with a twist(see below for details)

broccoli slaw

deviled eggs

tomat/cucumber mix

pickles

baked beans

fresh corn on the cob

biscuits(not pictured)

strawberry shortcake for dessert

tea/coffee/beer for the guys…
beofre dinner…you know…stand a round the new little boat and toast it beer…lol

wanted to make red rice with sausage also…sauted onions and peppers in a little juice with some HOT sausage and went to add in diced tomatoes…only had one can…yikes…so added 1/2 jar salsa, can of black beans, small can of jalop. peppers and rice…it was pretty darn good…
