Justin picked me up around 1:30 and we headed to some Redfish spots.Nothing first two spots so we headed to marker 55 area.I spotted some very small bait fish skipping in the grass so we anchored.Justin flipped a Z man near the dock and hooked up with a nice 10 pounder. We saw several push and had another hookup at least twice but no good hook.I felt at least 2 hard takes and still no hookup. All that racket ran the reds off.We had to leave or I would have hunted them down. This was Justins first Redfish and he was excited.I took 4 nice pics for him.Another rookie now hooked on redfishing.
good kharma Joe. you da man.
I think the bait fish were tiny tiny shad?? Wont be long before they are at Rantowles bridge and the Stripers come in.Keep looking around the ICW for those tiny tiny bait fish.I know from past trips the Redfish are right on top of them.Soon they will grow and be in Rantowles.Stripers right behind them.
