favorite boots?

Getting back into the woods to spend some time with my Dad, who is picking things back up after being caretaker for the last several years.

First day out and my very old work boots tore my feet up and one sole came off somewhere along the way… so now in the market for another pair of work boots, and some hunting boots.

What is your favorite boot for walking the woods? Summer/winter? Snake vs hunting vs hiking? My personal use will probably be focused on coastal deer, hogs, small game, and on upland non-duck birds from late fall through early spring.

I guess there are probably as many opinions as members here but I am interested in what you think-

Hard to beat a pair of Danners…for work or hunting.

No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.

Love my Merrells for working and my grubs for hunting.

Danners…no doubt about that.

The more we just complain…the more things stay the same.

Hunting in the mud and muck and water you’ll find in the LC, get a good pair of LaCrosse or Mucks for cooler weather and a pair of snake boots for warm weather. Work boots are whatever fits best and is comfortable to wear all day on the job.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Tony lama tlx 13" boots for work and hunting that doesn’t involve water, lacrosse alpha burly snake boots for everything else. Never had a blister or back ache from walking in either. Typically spend all day at work on my feet in the lamas and have walked 10-15 miles a day in them on numerous occasions hunting quail in 5 states this year with out an issue. Once a good pair of boots is broken in it’s hard to switch things up for me personally.

I wear combat boots. waterproof. comfortable tough as you know what.

Superior boot co. warmer and cheaper than Muck!

What ever boot you choose, pick up a pair of Dr. Scholl’s Massaging Gel insoles. Those things make a cheap pair of boots good and a good pair of boots great.

Also get you a boot drier. Keeps the funk out and also makes them feel nice and toasty on a cold morning.
