What are some of yalls favorite spots in and around the Charleston Harbor or nearshore and what types of fish are usually caught there? Thanks
Loaded question…
Do directions or GPS numbers work better for you?

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

The jetties fishing for sheepshead. Can also catch flounder and big reds out there.

If you ain’t the lead dog then the scenery never changes
That’s going to be a problem. Dark braid colors do not work well around this area I would recommend switching to a lighter color like white.

You’ll have to excuse the Line color thing. Look up Trolling with White Braid. A comical thread.
This time of year is getting good for most everything as water temps are warming. We caught a couple of mid size Black tips last weekend so they are back. Spot tail, trout, Spanish, sheeps, whitening, …
Now to places to fish, not many secrets left anymore. The Grillage, Dynamite Hole, Jeties, the ditch, Grice cove… if you look up this DNR link it will take you to most everyone’s favorite spots.
as good as it gets without paying a charter if you know your bait presentation. Just don’t be a pecker head and crowd other fishermen/women.

“Why Bruce?”
Anywhere near the edge of the channel, give the big boats space to navigate…50-60 foot of water, cut squid on the bottom…one of my “favorite” spots in the harbor. Also, as far as nearshore, go 1 mile east and 1 mile south of the jetties…nice sandy bottom, have had some epic days out there, also one of my favorite spots.

That PDF is going to ruin years and years of bad jokes.
Somehow they left out that monster redfish hole known as Sunrise Park…
Yep, Demetre aka Sunrise Park on Charleston Harbor
