Favorite food truck?

Had lunch at the corner of river/maybank today from the bright red charleston - choo food truck. Good stuff! 11 bucks for a smoked brisket sandwich and a sweet tea. I have a feeling our paths will cross again.

Yeah, at the bank. Him putting in and you taking out.

Really? I would bet that guy was lucky to make 2 bucks off of me. Im sure McDonald?s makes more on a 6 dollar big mac combo. Food trucks are the new mom and pop diners of the Food and Beverage industry. If the guy has the guts to skink his own money into owning his own business and puts out a creative, tasty product at a moderately competitive price I’ll support him.

There are a couple of food trucks here in Columbia that get rave reviews. There is a Mexican one (Los Palmas) that a friend of mine who is of Mexican desent says is some of the best Mex food he has ever had. I never seem to see them when I am hungry.

It is so hard to pick a favorite.
Is is also difficult to keep up with all of them. Didn’t know that one was around.

I’d guess closer to $4…much under that and he wouldn’t be in business very long.

Ryner makes some of the best food in town. As much food as possible is sourced locally and everything is always fresh. brioche rolls are from Normandy farms, veggies are commonly sourced from local farms. All her sauces are made in house, just brought back one of my favorites, green and bold. The ghost chili hot sauce is awesome for the brave of heart! Brunch is great, ate there yesterday and it was delicious, bbq plate with 2 eggs and hashbrowncasserole! Always caters to the kids, oldest has celiac and this is one of the few restaurants I have to worry about cross contamination. Bottom line, food and service is great

Forgot to mention that she proudly displays he pork as braised in holy city beer, another local supplier, she makes no attempt at trying to fool anyone. If you want run of the mill bbq, you cam pick that up on almost every other block in Charleston. If you want a bbq sandwich with a fried egg, homemade chow chow and houae picked okra all on a giant fresh made brioche roll, hello my name is bbq is where to go.

Thanks for your well spirited support of HMNiBBQ.

It’s a great truck, err…restaurant, for sure. Good food.

(I’m just a bit anal about barbecue…no harm/no foul)
