what are your favortite rigs for flounder and reds? i have done some inshore but not much. most of my saltwater fishing is offshore
Some of these guys i’m sure have some better techniques up their sleeve, but I rarely go wrong with a swivel, 1 oz egg sinker with a foot or two of line, MM or shrimp. Also enjoy catching a trout on occasion early mornings walking the ol’ dog.
yea that same set up is how i caught one last year on our vacation to NMB. just wondering if it some other rigs people use to catch some

gulp on a 1/8 or 1/4 ounce jighead d.o.a shrimp cal or baitbuster. also spinnerbaits and saltwater assassins. a top water mirrolure top pup. skitterwalk or in flat calm water a mirro mullet. hope this helps a little
coosawkane couldyou be more specific with the DOA? i have a few DOA popping corks how are u rigging them? i would usually just hook and live shrimp to them. could you go into depth if you dont mind?

I use a Carolina rig twelve to sixteen inches with just enough weight to get it on the
bottom.
No problem, a DOA shrimp under a popping cork will always get trout. Or a DOA cal on a 1/8 ounce jig head or a black back white belly DOA bait buster.
I have alot of success just fishing with a 1-2 foot leader, 2 split shots, and a finger mullet.
