What is your favorite rod that you have ever owned? For me it’s my star stellar lite. I love that rod to death and if I had the money I would buy ten just like it.
I can’t limit it to just one. My Alvey surf reel on a 14 foot custom rod is great for beach fishing, the Penn 900ss on a Key Largo rod is my favorite salt water spinning rod, but the Penn 80 on a custom rod that my Dad won in 1980 and later gave to me is a treasure. It’s engraved with the boat’s name ,etc and hangs on the wall in the living room with the other trophies/awards.

Three-fourths of the Earth’s surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
I have 2 stellar lites and 2 other star rods on my chunking rigs. I really love the stellars with battle 4000’s. I also have some inshore ugly stick lites and for the price, I think they are hard to beat.

TFO Signature series, medium lite. I can cast stuff a mile with that rod.
I have limited experience with quality rods as most of what I have used in the past have been cheap stuff. I do have an All-Star Snook model I really like. I also would like to try out one of the Penn Legion in-shore rods and one of the St. Croix Mojo in-shore rods. Maybe I’ll get one for Xmas.
U can catch fish with a hand line.Buy what you can afford and take care of it.

That’s my fav as well.

My favorite rod is the one that I was born with… The skinnee-rocket
for all purpose cant go wrong with an ugly stick! my 10 foot MH surf rod is sensitive enough for a whiting bite, but also survived the punishment of a 26lb bull red, countless sharpnose sharks, and a 5 foot blacktip shark that eventually cut the line on the pier posts at folly. i plan on using it this may for a king mackerel and have 400 yards of 65lb braid ready to go. i also have a 5’10" model that works great for crappie and panfish, but i may have taken it to folly pier many times for whiting, but hooked many stingrays and a 24" red on base with no problems. even though walleye dont exist down here back home my favorite was a berkley lightning rod. i did a lot of walleye fishing back home, which are very light biters and i could feel hits twice as well with the lightning rod, which also survives redfish, flounder, trout, stingrays, and all kinds of freshwater fish. anything i own is all spinning gear as well.
My favorite two are both uglystiks. One is Uglystik Custom 9’ spinning. The other is an older Uglystik Intercoastal 6’ baitcasting. I have many others rods. But, these two are my go-to rods. They come with me on all fishing outings.
Ya know, it must be nice living in Neverneverland. Remind me to come visit you, when I need a break from reality.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I have an All-Star Snook model I like a good bit and 2 Shimano Voltaeus rods. The All-Star was $99 and the Volteaus even less. For the money,I have really enjoyed the Voltaeus rods and they have held up pretty well.
My all time favorite is a 6 1/2 foot 3wt fly rod. It’s a custom build of a G Loomis blank that I’ve owned for 20 years. I’ve caught many hundreds of trout and quite a few bass on that little creek rod.
