Took the wifus out today so she could relax on the beach of the barrier islands to finish her birthday wishes…got about a mile and a half out after leaving the ramp and boat trouble. So I threw the trolling motor down and headed back. With no need to get back until several hours to pick up the youngens my hands started to shake and my feet wouldn’t sit still. Grabbed the rod and started blind casting to make time pass with artificial. Found some bluefish and reds that made my FDD a bit manageable and after arriving at the ramp safely. Called my brother-in-law since he was still out on the water as well. Got picked up and headed back out. Found some hungry trout just before high tide and released all fish including several nice keepers. Wind doesn’t scare me off from fishing anymore, but those Dammit Boy no seeums will just about make you want to start a new hobby! But thank goodness lightbulbs were invented as well as bug spray. Water was 67-69 degrees. Trout didn’t bite real aggressively so we had to slow the retrieve down.
A wise man once said: “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish and he will spend the rest of his days saying just one more cast!”

I’m suffering from that at moment… praying it doesn’t last much longer than this weekend.
Thanks for the report!
