Another great turnout for the February tournament with some new faces and new teams.
Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco, SC on February 18, 2017. 45 teams participated in the event bringing a total of 63 striped bass to the scales weighing a total of 470.35 pounds with a 7.47 pound average. 30 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in first place with a total weight of 26.53 pounds was Team Hard of Herring captained by Riff Browning from Irmo, SC, along with Mike Browning from Lexington, SC.
Team Hard of Herring also won the Justin Christopher Big Fish award sponsored by the Nichols Store with a 20.82-pound striper.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 20.47 pounds was Team Seine Crew captained by Lucas Robinson, along with Mitch Long and Allen Rogers from Saluda, SC.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 20.05 pounds was Team Stone Age captained by Rick Sineath along with Liz Sineath and RJ Sineath, all from Lexington, SC.
Finishing in eleventh place with a total weight of 16.12 pounds was Team Landlocked.
Finishing in eighteenth place with a total weight of 13.61 pounds was Team Catchall.
Smallest creel went to Team Giz-R-Done with a total weight of 3.92 pounds.
Lady Angler Award went to Liz Sineath from Team Stone Age.
Youth Angler Award went to RJ Sineath from Team Stone Age.
PSAFO Gift Card winner was Team Reel Kaos.
