Federal Closings and Small Shrimp

We entered the season with poor expectations and continue to salt the situation. The shrimp are small, and some of us are having to run 17+ miles to get to our favorite shrimping spots thanks to the feds.

Let’s look at this from a more optimistic stance. There are still tons of shrimp being caught. My neighbor limited Sunday on medium shrimp. I can remember many years where we caught large shrimp early and caught none in late October. There has to be some positive ■■■■■■■■ on the fact that the shrimp are still here, and that they will continue to grow over the next few weeks.

While we await the re-opening of our favorite landings, enjoy your time on the water and the adventures you would have otherwise not taken. Use this time of diversity as a means to better your skills and knowledge in new shrimping locations.

Most importantly, Happy Shrimping!

And with all the crap I’ve had to deal with this year, I am expecting (and demanding) cooler’s full for each day. Come on peeps…thoughts and prayers…thoughts and prayers…:sunglasses::wink:

Can I get an Amen??? :sunglasses:

I’ll be trying North Bull’s Bay with son this weekend.
