Fished Goose Creek Last week out going tide for a few of the warmer days and had success with 17" to 19" Trouts. The bite was slow and stopped an hour before Low and each day it was the same with the out going tide. Lost lots of jigheads in structure. Pearl white swim mullet was the plastic they liked as well as the 6" pumpkin seed worm. TT had a little success but managed a few smaller fish with them. Could not find any Reds none of the days I fished.
Nice trout! Good to see them in the creeks too!
can you take a picture of your lures? Awesome job!!
Very nice! What kinda water temps you seeing?
Average temps was 50°-52°
Should be out next week and I’ll do so
Good news. Thanks!
I want a piece of that horseshoe that you carry around ; I really enjoy your posts , keep em comming.
My Horseshoe are guys like Optiker, Stump, DFreedom, Josh (co-worker whom brought to my attention I were missing flounders; in one of our fish stories) my neighbor Charles and numerous others whom have shared there approach to catching fish. An Ole gentlemen whom sold tackle in West Ashley (Mr Wayne) always gave me pointers on the catch and where. I in turn used these discussions and pointers to establish that I was determine to catch Flounders and set up all rods and reels for flounder fishing and it turned out it worked well for Big Reds and trouts and to this day I only fish with particular rod and optima 30/40 spinning reels. Optiker normally lure me to try other things but it seems I go back to what works for me especially when it comes to structure. Eye strikes stay in the tackle box and I use a round 1/4oz jighead w/barb Aberdeen 4/0 hook that in most cases I pull out the hook and bend back into place or change and I have a lot on hand because I never pass up structure or rocks.
appreciate the come back, yep i know a couple of those guys and know some of their advice , can’t beat friends like them
