Anybody know a good Fiberglas/Gel-coat repair place/person around Lake Murray.

Horace Mealing did a good job for me but it seemed kind of expensive. Other guys have said he takes a long time to get the job done I didn’t have any problem with him. His shop is off Leapart rd. right where it crosses over I26. (803) 331-3359

Call Tim Depriest at Marine Pro. They do great work.

Donnie, I am using Tim at Marine Pro to repair my boat. Their number is 803-407-6020. They do excellent work and they are turning by boat around in a week. I have used them before.

They are located about a mile off the peak exit (I-26) near Ballantyne. I feel their pricing is very reasonable and great people to work with. Tim and their employees came from Seapro and work on all makes. They can do damage repair, custom work, and various installations of hardware/electronics.

I also understand their is a guy on Leaphart Road in West Columbia that is suppose to be good as well.

Mealings fiberglass repair on Leaphart Rd in West Columbia did some work for me and the turn around was quick. Price was reasonable in my opinion. I have heard some say that he takes a little too long but I think it probably depends on how much work he has going and the complexity of the repair. As far as quality, they do good work. Good luck.

Just read the other posts…Shawn and I posted virtually the same experience with Mealings. Kind of funny. I’ve actually used Mealings twice for minor cosmetic repairs and had a good experience both times. Sounds like you have some options given the input on this thread.
