i think they call it delaminazation…sp… under the seat in an the scout the floor is very weak. i have been told the fiberglass is seperating in this area, i am thinking of drilling a 4" hole under the seat and pushing either epoxy or fiberglass in between the layer in order bring them back together then fiberglassing the the hole i drilled. has anyone ever had an experience with this problem or know someone that might have. any info would be greatly appreciated, i know i could take it down to the scout people in charleston but it would probably cost more than the boat is worth…
post in the boats and motors.you will get a better response.that is why i like aluminum.
there’s a guy that was at one of the local marine stores that is really knowledgeable and helped me a lot advising me on some fiberglass work…i believe he may do some work on the side too…i believe he left there, but is still around and I can come up with a number if you are interested…if so, just send me a PM

Murrymaker, I know first hand that Scout had(has) a problem with their decks delaminating. The company I used to work for, built a lot of their t-tops and leaning posts. We would get complaints from Scout that t-tops were breaking out in the field. We did several repairs and found that the decks were pre-releasing from the stringers. You could lift on the back of a top and watch the console and deck move considerably. I’m not sure what Scout’s warrantee policy is, but you might give them a call. 843-821-0068
If they can’t help, call Tim or Steven at Marine Pro. 803-407-6020 They are great with fiberglass, and will point you in the right direction. They’re off I-26 at the Peak exit.(exit 97 I think) Tell them I sent you.
