you can keep the left over ones alive for a good while. I just put some mud and a little salt water in a bucket w them and they live for a week or more.

You can catch some nice ones behind The Citadel. Just drive all the way back towards the Ashley and step down towards the marsh. Don’t go too far…that Ashely mud almost has a mind of its own. Those are the nicest fiddlers I have ever seen though.
Considering the time and effort involved in catching those little critters, I think $11/pint is a pretty good deal IMO.
Duncans on Redbank rd. always seem to be fully stocked.
Both haddrells. 6$ for a half pint, 13$ for a whole. About 70-80 in a pint.

How much? 2 half pints would be 12.00, if they are 6 bucks apiece. Why would anyone pay 13.00 for 1 pint when 2 half’s make a whole.

I just bought what they call a cup from Beaufort Boat and Dock supply in Port Royal. I think it cost $6.50 and there was at least 50 fiddlers in there. I’ll spend $6 any day before I’ll grub in the marsh mud, in the cold, for 50 fiddlers, and I won’t quibble about $.50 difference either way

I have plenty of them where I live, but it takes alot of effort to go in the marsh and catch them. In the winter they are not active, in the spring and summer they are crawling everywhere.
They can see you guys coming. 6+6= 13

Fiddlers are easy to catch in the warmer months. They are tough to find above ground this time of year. Much easier to buy them from the local tackle shops right now.
