Fiddlers

Does haddrells sell fiddlers? I think they do. What’s the price and how many should i get if 2 people were going for a 4 hr fishing day. Do I just bring my 5 gallon bucket and say fill er up?

Yes but I would call to make sure they have them and the price. I usually get them from Charleston Marine or Charleston Angler but they are closer to me and its normally around $10 a pint. Two pints should be plenty for a 4 hr trip.

Called them and they have plenty>

we are 9.50 a pint or $2 a dozen

Five gallons would be a lot of fiddlers.

I got a pint at the start of the week and tried to catch sheeps a few times but no luck. Guess I don’t know where they hang out.

Haddrell’s is $13 a pint this year

I normally go to Charleston Marine to get mine, but had to go else where the day after Christmas to get them. I was shocked at the price at Haddrell’s, shocked. Not to mention when I asked them to match the price, I was told “that’s great that others are selling them cheaper, but our cost is $10/pt”. High prices are fine, but being lied to or bs’d is something else. No worries, just baffled by comment is all.

StuckonLand, howd your do on your fishing trip ??

$11.98 per pint…the $13 comes in with 8.5% sales tax…can always take in to consideration the actual count in a pint of fids and so forth as well. Some things will be cheaper at this store on a particular item, sometimes cheaper at another store. It goes back and forth between all kinds of inventory items, just look at Iland lures as an example. Just keep it local!!!

I got half a pint 3 days ago and fished them 2 times once by myslef and with 2 other ppl with some frozen shrimp and still have a few left! gonna go dump em in the marsh today

A small fish in hand is better than big fish in promise

Went to MPP with RiverMonster and had no luck. We had a couple bites and I had one on the end of my line but it broke the line on the pilings. It was our first time for sheeps and setting a circle hook straight down is pretty hard. 2 guys at the pier were doing really good on barnacles though. Btw 2 pints is WAAAAAY to many had about a pint and a half left. But me and RM might try on his boat soon.

Had a bushel of oysters and some clams for Christmas…shucked the smaller oysters into a container with the juice and froze for sheep head fishing…have done this before and it has worked well…have also used canned clam and cut up pieces of those black mussels too…just saying…if you don’t have access to bait…good to. Keep a little of this handy…
