Man, I want to meet a stripper professional! Hooked Up, I love Atlantic and will continue to patronize the store, but you are not doing the store any favors by your posts. Take a breath!
Your right. Going to watch some baseball

Here’s a thought, cater to both. But hey, we all hold ourselves and our expectations to different levels. I’m glad I’ve never been looked down upon by the staffs at the legit shops in town like CA, HPT, and PSA for not being a “professional fisherman.” And to think, they still provided noteworthy customer to me knowing I wasn’t a “professional fisherman.” Interesting business approach. Don’t sweat it though, the dinosaurs never saw extinction coming either</font id=“red”>.
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
I wouldn’t wish “extinction” on anyone’s business, if that’s what you were implying. Regardless of what you think of one person, there are others employed there that probably need that job. Granted, the consumer’s dollar speaks louder than their words and in the end, the consumer will speak.
I’m going to assume the “stripper fishermen” comment happened when Hooked Up’s six year old son got ahold of the keyboard. If not, he’s making his mentality more obvious with every stroke of the key.
You’re clearly in need of heeding someone’s business advice but since you’re too blind to see that (or too drunk as Island Boy hinted at), at least take Raddaddy’s advice and walk away from the keyboard and take a breath. I nkow that if any of my employees represented my company in this manner, they would be former employees. What’s even scarier is the thought that you may be more than just an employee of Atlantic Game and Tackle. Either
FYI. Bass Pro has pulled out but Cabelas in coming to town.
He must Increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30
I’d call it a wash. That said, I believe BPS has a better fishing department than Cabela’s but Cabela’s has better taxidermy displays…because we all know that’s the selling point. Lol!
Stores like that are exciting…until you’ve been to one.

Well, I guess the F&S honeymoon phase is over.
Went looking for 3/16 tungsten worm weights, Senko color 208, Trout Tricks (original). These are things I go through on a regular basis and had previously purchased them at F&S.
3/16 tungsten worm weights had an empty hooks. Sold out of Black, and green. Most of the other sizes were gone or almost gone.
Senko color 208 had 2 peg hook spots, both had different colors on them to cover up the empty hole.
Trout Tricks were the same way. Different colors covering the holes where the original color was.
So I hit Walmart on the way home. 4 bags for Senkos color 208 for $6.79 vs F&S $8.49. I do not expect walmart to carry tungsten weights as I’m sure every pack would be stolen or Trout Tricks.
Support the local guys.I will stick with Haddrells.

As far as BP, I got a catalogue in the mail yesterday. On the map showing store locations, it still shows a star in N. Chas and says “future location”.

Those catalogs are printed months in advance. As far as BP coming to NC, it seems to be a “on again, off again” relationship…

I’ve been to several F&S stores, my gf actually works at another. One thing I love about their stores is that they really do seem to research the local market. It’s not as big as a BPS or Cabelas, but every store seems different and pretty well equipped for local shoppers instead of trying to cater to everyone

F&S has a nice selection of Ariats that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
stonoman,
These “local guys” your referring to are not local for me.
Without taking time off work or giving up a fishing day (Sat) they are out of my reasonable reach.
On a different note, F&S responded to the email I sent them.
He said the Trout Tricks were backordered. Not sure how long.
The Senko’s showed in stock, may have been stolen or in a different location?
They admitted they dropped the ball on the weights and have a rush order in.
I was happy to get a response, shows they are trying.
Hooked up, pm sent. I’m looking for a custom dredge, again.
