Unscrewed the cap and the retaining chain screw fell back into my fuel tank. Didn’t notice the screw holding it to the cap working loose. Should I be concerned and try and fish it out(if possible)?
Thanks

It is probably still in the fill hose! You may be able to reach it with the 3 prong grabbers they sell at auto part stores! Luckily it is not a very big screw, so I don’t see it being a problem if it ends up in the tank!

I wouldn’t worry about it if it was mine
its not gonna clog anything, and there isn’t enough suction for the motor to pick it up, and even if it did, it wouldn’t make it past the primer bulb
About 12 years ago we filled up my pro line and left gas cap on the side of the boat…Before we took off from wapoo we used a ball of duct tape to plug the opening…Sometime during our trip the ball of duct tape disappeared…
Seven or eight years later I did a complete rebuild and when we removed the fuel tank the ball of tape was still in the tank…
